Our last trip to Santa Barbara was definitely one of the best yet, thanks to The Kimpton Goodland hotel. We actually stayed there once before, over my last birthday! We only got to stay over one night, but we got there late around 8pm and had to leave early the next day. I fighting a cold and I tried to rally the best I could, but I wasn’t able to enjoy it was much as I wished. It was the cutest hotel, and I knew I wanted to come back for another trip, but stay longer and actually get to spend time at the hotel.
This hotel is one of the cutest little boutique style hotels I have ever stayed at. We both were obsessed with the trendy hipster vibes, even though we aren’t hipster people! Everyone who works there is so sweet, and always accommodates you to the best they could. Each room looks very similar to one another, and each one has a record player. So if you have any records of your own, bring them! There is a pool, grass area for hanging out and you can play corn hole. At night the grass area is lit up with strung lights, and makes it a very intimate setting. There are fire pits you can sit at, and they also provide blankets! During the day, if you want to ride bikes around Santa Barbara, the hotel also has bikes you are able to use.
The restaurant inside the hotel is very well known itself, The Outpost. You can totally make a reservation here even if you aren’t staying at the hotel. It has indoor and outdoor sitting, both areas are decorated SO CUTE. We had breakfast and dinner there and probably ordered the entire menu. There were sooo many delicious options! During breakfast time, they offer pressed juices which is always one thing I love when restaurants offer! If you are looking for drinks after dinner, the hotel also has a cute bar for some night life, The Good Bar.
This is a new hotel that we both will be staying at again. We went back in December over New Years and already wanted to come back two months later. It’s the perfect weekend getaway for you and your loved one for an anniversary trip. It can totally be a fun girls trip as well in the Summer when you can lounge out at the pool and soak up the sun, then hit the town. We would recommend this hotel to EVERYONE. Santa Barbara doesn’t have too many hotels, it’s more of a resort town. So this hotel is perfect! It fits the Santa Barbara feel 100%.
